Install NanoGig Screen
Write the NanoGig Screen firmware onto your board straight from the browser, over a USB cable. No tools to download, no command line.
A screen that already runs NanoGig Screen can be updated here and keeps its Wi-Fi network, settings and license. A full install starts the board from scratch: it replaces whatever the board ran before and resets the Wi-Fi network and the settings (a licensed screen gets its license back from the server). You can also update over Wi-Fi (Updating).

Connect it
Plug the board into this computer with a USB data cable and press Connect. Your browser opens a list of ports: click your board in it, then the browser's Connect button. The installer checks the chip and reads its ID.

What you'll need
- A computer with Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS). The installer uses Web Serial, which Safari, Firefox and phone browsers don't have.
- A USB data cable that fits your board. Many charging cables carry power only. On the 2.8" CYD, use a USB-A to USB-C cable (a USB-C to USB-C cable gives the board no power).
- One of the supported boards.
If it doesn't connect
- No port in the list: the list shows only boards, so an empty list means the computer doesn't see yours. Try another cable (many carry power only) or USB socket. On Windows, boards with a CH340 USB chip (like the CYD) may need the CH340 driver from WCH, the chip's maker.
- The board doesn't answer: hold BOOT, tap RESET (EN or RST), let go of BOOT, then press Connect again.
- The port is in use: close the Arduino IDE, serial monitors and other installer tabs.
