Updating the firmware
NanoGig Screen updates itself over Wi-Fi, from this site. Your settings, folders, remembered preset names and the license stay. Updates are part of the screen’s license.
Check for updates
Section titled “Check for updates”Menu (≡) → Settings → NanoGig tab → page 3 → Check for updates:

The screen lets go of the pedal and turns Bluetooth off while it uses Wi-Fi.

Closing the update page also restarts the screen, which brings Bluetooth back and reconnects to the pedal.
If an update goes wrong
Section titled “If an update goes wrong”The screen keeps the previous version until the new one has started properly. If a new version fails to start, the screen goes back to the previous one by itself.
Boards and updates
Section titled “Boards and updates”Every supported board gets its own firmware, and the screen asks for the newest version for its board.
Reinstalling
Section titled “Reinstalling”To reinstall from scratch, for example after flashing other firmware onto the board or if a screen no longer starts, use the web installer from Chrome or Edge on a computer. A full install resets the screen’s Wi-Fi network and settings. The license stays bound to the board’s chip: the screen fetches it again once it is back on Wi-Fi, so you don’t need a new key.
